Bracelet Book import and export

Use the Bracelet Book menu to move patterns between this app and BraceletBook.com. The site cannot open our .bracelet files, and we cannot open its saved patterns — you copy a few generator fields instead.

Export to Bracelet Book

1. Finish your pattern here (colors, knots, and Repeat if you want extra copies in the knot list).
2. Choose Bracelet Book → Export to Bracelet Book and save the HTML file.
3. Open that file in a browser. You will see a picture of the pattern, color swatches, a Colors order string, and a Knots list.
4. On BraceletBook, start a new pattern in the normal generator.
5. Click each color swatch on the HTML page to copy its hex code, then paste it into Bracelet Book’s color picker.
6. Copy the Colors order text into Bracelet Book’s Colors order field.
7. Copy the Knots text (there is a Copy button on that heading) into Bracelet Book’s Knots field.

Knot letters are f, b, bf, and fb. Color swatches in the top row of this app (string colors) become Colors order. Repeat in the toolbar is applied to the exported knot list so it matches the preview copies.

Some things cannot be imported on Bracelet Book’s side (for example extra notes). The HTML page will mention anything you still need to recreate by hand.

Import from Bracelet Book

1. On Bracelet Book, open the pattern in the generator so you can see Colors used, Colors order, and Knots.
2. Copy each of those three fields.
3. In this app, choose Bracelet Book → Import from Bracelet Book.
4. Paste into the matching boxes and click Import.

String count comes from Colors order. Row count comes from the Knots lines. Live Magic Mirror is turned off so the imported knots stay exactly as pasted. Empty Bracelet Book knots (0) are not supported. Save a copy of your current work first if it is not already saved — import replaces the pattern.
